Hiding the Gong logo under stickers is quite lame however... (although she mention Gong in the article body)

Good luck to her anyways!

It may not be the appropriate wording, I wanted to mean "lack of class"... Anyways, she is perhaps only shocked by the logo?

She won her heat, better selecting her waves than her competitors.
The Hit seemed definitely faster than the other boards, allowing her to make sections and good scores.
But it seems like she didn't have time to get familliar with the board, she blew nearly all her rollers by having her rear foot too forward. But the waves were really difficult, very unclean and seemingly a lot of backwash.

Yes, it would be good to have a videos replaying all the rides in their integrality, it is very interesting to watch.

The level of some of the women is really great, very smooth, on the rail. Not to mention some minimalistic bikinis :-)

For Abi, I guess she would have been more efficient on a board requiring less commitment, and more forgiving (like the Painy?).

Some of the small women were on noticeably shorter boards (7'2" for an american one).

Second repechage round now for Abi http://isawsuppc.com/live/

1rst wave: nice positioning, good distance covered while staying in the high line, but again blew the first roller/cutback, bad positioning of her rear foot.

Lost her heat, too bad for Abi.
Abi, if you read us, flex your rear knee, move your rear foot on the kicktail, commit yourself in the turn, and push on this rear leg while regrouping yourself on the board!
