Hi Coolas,
I use a scarfini truster on my JVB custom 6.6. I have also a st of FCS Sunny Garzia (yes, I kwow... it is a little bit large for my 70 kg). Scarfini is better. In Italy the price is almost the same than FCS.
Really great quality and carbon base !!!
ON market there are also quad scarfini set, but the price of thise english site is amazing.
I love also 12 cm central fin.
Look also at dolphin, cut and dolphin ct.. in almost all lenghts.
A question for my forum friends (and for master shaper Ours). ( I'm 170 cm X 70 kg).
What is the better set of fins for my (next and I hope soon ) 9.0 Zero?
I have a couple of FCS GXQ . I think that are perfect for Zero. But for central fin?
I have also a FCS ezi trim 7.75, great drive, speed and manovrability, but perhaps a little bit long in every day use. 7.0 Ezi trim?
FCS 6.5 Kay Sallas?
FCS Ignition 7.25.
Other solutions?
Or is better two or most fins. 6.0 in micro waves , 7.0 ezi trimm in normal waves and 7.75 in big waves ?
Scuse me Patrice if this post isn't the right place for this general question
Thanks.
Filippo

Ciao Pat,
from this site You must buy two set of tri fin and make so a quad.
On official site scarfini You can read the right combination of set.
http://www.scarfinifins.co.za/index.php?page=allfins.php&category=2
The price is in any case good (less than a FCS quad).
Ciao
Filippo

Personally, I would tend to use big fins at slow speeds and small fins at high speeds. A bit like for sails or airplane wings: the faster you go, the less surface you need.
Also, I think narrow-tailed boards like the Zero do not need big fins.
So for me it is either a thruster configuration (all fins the same size) when I am in an agressive mood, or a big single fin on cool waves.
I didn't find a 2+1 configuration I like, but most people seem happy with 6" to 7" as main fin in 2+1

Hello,
Merci.

Thanks Coolas
I like also this set FCS : http://www.surfsurfsurf.co.uk/longboard_&_retro_surfboard_fins/fcs_hi-1_longboard_surfboard_fin_set
but I think (is only impression dreaming the outline and rocker of 9.0) that Caribou Zero performs better with a longer central fin (6 to 7) (nose and rail to rail performance).
On my (less) experience the fin is influenced by waves (small waves = small fins (loose and agility) and big wave = big fin (drive and control). I could try same different set, but I like to know your and Patrice's advice to avoid to spend time and money to try right configuration (and, now, I haven't the first and most important thing: Caribou Zero ).

Thanks Patrice,
But now, I don't know which fin I must buy..
I love this (for example) http://store.magicseaweed.com/Future-6.0-Fin/Item/2622/
Ok, I will test same set and same configurations and I will have a fin's collection in my quiver.
