Post Oldskool waxing or grip spray? Reply with quote

I have a experiment going on. I used to wax the front of my stand ups. Now I have some boards sprayed with grip spray.
Until know I like it a lot. Not so messy and nice grip. And really looks good.
When it's fully dry it will leave a clean, evenly sprayed board with a nice grip.
And no more dirty wax....

What do you think?

It looks good but it is not too aggressive for your skin? Rolling Eyes

I guess it could be... so I try not to hit it with my face Laughing

Never had any problems with it in my windsurfing years.

Hopefully the weather and temperature will improve soon, so I can give it a go!
Can't wait to get on the Neverstick.

Waterman, I would advise you to find grip (either in spray or stick-on) that grips via micropores rather than mini spikes/dots, it should be less agressive. In spray it is the Monster paint, or Rocol's "safe step" http://www.rocol.com/corp/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=285&Itemid=306&lang=en (thanks to "ludo" for the hint) as stick-on it is versatraction

I used versatraction as you can see on http://www.gongsup.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=918 (uglier than spray for sure) and you can wipe your hand on it without rash (you have to press and move you hand anyways a lot to apply it).

Just for the record, I also used thin bands of light EVA grip, to keep weight down. works well and have enough grip if you do not noseride

I must say that the versatraction you used on the other board looks great.
Minus the airbubbles Smile

I have bought Rocol's SAFE STEP at Seton Web store by 28 € (27€ at www.Seton.fr)
http://www.seton.es/aerosol-safe-step-aerosol-safe-step.html
No way to get Monster paint (most known brand) or Mystic (waterman's) in Europe.
I'll try it as soon as I receive my ordered crusader M.
By the moment I'll continue using wax on my longboards (No worried with my skin but my neoprene swinsuits..)
Will check it soon.
Regards,
UNAI
Pd: Counting down the days to receive my Red Ferrari. Regards Patrice.

Today my demo crusader M arrived and will soon be sprayed with the non-slop stuff.
Can't wait to get in the water with this board.
Looks so fast and sharp!!!

I hope to use it in Cote Basque this summer.
