HOW TO : do the X

How To : faire du X.
Pour tourner, il faut faire des X :
1) croiser l’axe de la pagaie et la verticale.
2) croiser l’axe de la planche et l’horizontale.
Points clefs :
- baisser la main haute sur le coté.
- reculer le pied arrière dans sa ligne.
Repères :
- plus de 3 coups de rame pour faire demi tour : mauvais X.
- instabilité = pieds pas assez écartés en largeur + buste droit.
Rappels :
- plus le X est croisé plus vous tournez court.
- le X de la planche coulée permet de se lancer par effet bouchon.
How to : Do the X.
In order to turn you must do an X :
1) Cross the Paddle axis with the vertical.
2) Cross theBoard axis with the Horizontal.
Key Points :
- lower the top hand to the side.
- pull back your trailing foot along the line.
References :
- more than 3 Paddle sweep to make half turn = improper X.
- Unstable = feet not spread out enough in width + torso erect.
Reminders :
- the more the X is crossed the shorter your turn.
- an X with the Board tail submerged allows a launch with a cork effect.
