@Patrice: how would you compare this board (proto2013) with the Cloud 7'8 xtr 2015?
Cloud is 2" longer, Same width, 5 litres less, little more OFO. But that data does not explain all differences or similarities I guess?
What about rocker line and more? Difference in speed, turn and acceleration? ?

Hello,

the tail is less powerful, so you can turn easily.
Speed is almost the same, the Cloud is faster in slow waves.
The balance while paddling is better on the Cloud.

It really depends on your skills and the waves you want to surf.

Thanks,

Yes, it turns really sharp and well.
And just as the Freak XTR, I love the Final in good waves like France. But I never really use these boards to their full potential at home. I use the Freak more than the Final of course. But I was thinking about replacing the Final with a 7'8 Cloud instead, however I am not sure if it makes a real difference. The Cloud 8'1 is really easy going but I would like something even smaller for good days. :?: :?: :?:

What I miss is slow waves speed and some stability. So the Cloud 7'8 could maybe be a good choice after all???

Even with my 100kg, the 100l Cloud 7'8" of PierreT I tried was manageable, and actually enjoyable on very weak - but glassy - waves. So the shape has real stability qualities.

I was surprised by the smoothness of the ride of the Cloud XTR, whereas I had to use a more agressive style on the 125l final to make it work
