Hello,
I'm refurbishing my old quickblade paddles, which are leaking in the handles.
It's a delicate job since they are glued with strong araldite and they are cut to my size (surfing config).
The only way I found to remove, was gently using a Lathe.
I recently bought a Carbon Pro 8" non cut and I found that the dimensions of the carbon pro handle are perfectly suited to the quickblades.
Today I was going to buy 2 units, but a doubt arises?
A) What's the difference between the HANDLE CARBON ERGO LARGE and the HANDLE CARBON PRO?
They seem equal (except for the shaft connection)
B) I'm thinking about applying hot glue to my new Gong Carbon Pro (this is the default solution that came with my Kenalu). Is there any counter indication?
Thanks and have a weekend full of glassy waves

Re: SAV Pagaies - HANDLE CARBON ERGO LARGE vs HANDLE CARBON
If I am not mistaken, the Large has more volume and was standard on the earlier batches of Carbon Pros. The "bump" that fits in the palm is thicker and longer front-and-aft. I have small/medium hands and prefer the normal one, but it is a small difference anyways.1fox a écrit : A) What's the difference between the HANDLE CARBON ERGO LARGE and the HANDLE CARBON PRO?

On the hot glue solution, I did not read of any problems. But unglueing a handle that was glued with epoxy or araldite is quite easy if you heat it with hairdryer: Carbon conducts the heat, and so the glue is easily melted, even through the shaft wall. 30 seconds heating were sufficient for the small 7" adjustable paddle for instance.

I was afraid that the temperature would destroy any bonding of the carbon matrix impregnation.
But you are an expert
Tried it right away and voi lá!
Thanks Coolas
