What board to choose for 24h challenge

Message par Jeanke » dim. déc. 17, 2017 11:39 pm

Hello everybody,

Shortly joined the Gong sup team and realiteit stoked about it.

Last april a friend of me and myself supped 240k in 5 days to clean dirt and plastic out of the rivers.
In april
In april 2018, we will take action again and paddle 24h to ask attention for the animals in our oceans. This time it will be at sea.
At this moment I own a 11’ chip. Really happy about it, but I Will neef a new board for the action.

I dont know whitch one to choose

Cm explorer 15’
Cm family 15’
Cm race 14’ medium or large
Cm race 12’6” medium or large

Sherpa 12’6” (downside is the weight for handeling when not on the water)

Hope you can help me to decide.

Hello,

The Sherpas are easy once you get used to moving them around, but of course the CM's are a big plus when it comes to transport. The big question is, are you ready to go from an Inflatable to a rigid Board?

Next question is what do you plan on doing most? Long Distance comfort paddling or more race dedicated?

You need to get the Board that will make its primary use easy.

Thanks

I always had hard boards.
I had raceboards and all round boards.

But shortly I discovered how easy it is to own a inflatable.

I used to race a lot. But lately I train for actions like the 24h.
Coming up: crossing the Chanel and a round Texel (100k)

It has to bee seaworthy. Stability is a big issue.
I need a good glide and want to be able to go straight ahead for a long time.

About me;
36years old
181cm
86kg
9 years of sup expirience. Mostly on rivers and lakes.
Love to go fast and straight ahead. A wave once in a while.

Board wil be used for the actions at sea and rivers and lakes.

Thx

Ok then maybe you should be looking at the Perv, and there is one on sale from our New 2018 collection.

https://www.surinternet.com/epages/box1 ... 6WREDPSOKZ

Since you already have the Chip, which you can keep and use for terrain that is more lake and river and can be hazardous at times then you will have a proper rigid that will give you the speed and lines AND the ability to catch a wave when you feel like it.

Have you checked the Pervs out before? Thanks

I already know now, it will be a inflatable board.

Only leaves two boards.
