Choisir son SUPsurf aussi pour la balade

Message par Ours » ven. oct. 02, 2015 9:44 am

Hello,

Tu as besoin de volume, OK.

Merci.

Choisir son SUPsurf aussi pour la balade

Hello,

Two points need to be clarified before discussing the boards :

Two questions are recurrent :
1/ Which SUPsurf board should I choose to cruising as well.
2/ Can I bring a child with me.

Here is the answer :

1/ You can cruise with anything. Cruising with a particular type of board will be painful only if it is too small compared to the conditions of the water or compared to those who accompany you who are faster than you..
But in any case if you go cruising with a surf board, you'll have to take it in a cool way. And everything works well in this mood.
So this is a false problem.
I add that paddling on his surf board enables to progress in surfing, it is not negligible.
Do not focus on that I think.

2/ Paddling with a child on the board : as your board will not 300L and 80cm wide, it will remain anecdotal activity and of very short period.
First because it is not very pleasant. It moves in all directions, it's not going fast and the child can be hurt by the paddle every time..
Then because children get bored quickly.
So again, this is not a criterion of choice in my opinion when you looking for a board for surfing. All kind of boards will work well for cruising with a child in front of feet on flat water. But in order to make it, it requires a dedicated board, I mean a board twice bigger than a SUPsurf board.
Pay attention to safety.

Let's talk about surfing.

This is where you have to concentrate. You need volume, OK. But your priority is to have a board that please you at 100% surfing because it gives you the feeling that you love.
When you will find this board, it will be natural to cruise with it.

Clearly, we do surfing with boards of 9 'and we cruise with boards of 11'. A size between 9' and 11' is a non-solution except with inflatable boards.

Thank you.
