The nose of fpl´s Zero seems much rounder than the graphic pictures in the web shop. Much like the nose on the Freaks.
Are all production boards like Filippos Zero?

You right Mag, I notice the same thing. In the pics the nose is really close to the freak's one

Yes it seems to be rounder and I like it.
Thanks Fp for the review.

I think the nose round is only for me :D
The OFO front is the same of description on site, nose is almost the same than pic on site but there isn't the small "point" to do a roundpoint nose... For me there isn't problem , the nose is the same in width... it gives for sure the same performance, and it is only a marginal difference.
A little mistake in hand finish of shape before lamination ? A test of Patrice on new shape? I don't know, but my Zero works really well.. I just tested it :D

I have zero sp 110 and my brother has "old" zero sp 100 pro (and I know really well this shape).
The biggest difference is the feeling: zero pro 100 is aggressive, but is a SUP, new zero sp is really really closer than ever to a progressive longboard surf.
In paddling zero sp 110 is faster than zero 100 and perhaps catchs the waves earlier.
The radius of radical turns is smaller for zero sp 110.
Zero sp pro has thinner rails and this is a great thing.
I love my zero sp 110, but my brother likes more his zero sp 100... the program is the same, but feeling is different and every supper has his preferences.

Which different from the "old" freak sp 2018 (with vectored nose) and the new 2019?

Weight of the 2 boards?

The "old" seem to be a little bit narrow in the tail or is just a photo illusion?

Hello,

Merci.

the new Freak SP is a little bit wider. The main difference is on rails and bottom.
As on the Karmen, I changed the way it takes water and release it.

We have a concave in the center, double concave before side fins, and Ve at the tail. We catch water in the center to increase efficiency, we create a venturi close to side fins to increase the grip and the speed, and we release the water after the center fin to increase pivot and maneuverability.
The key point is to create a turn area located around fins.

Because the board catch more water, I don't want it to stick on water or sink on turns. So I did a more "square" boxy rail on the tail. The flat part of the rail increase the flotation of the rail and generates more speed.

Thanks,
