Hi Magnus,MagW a écrit :I have actually been wondering if this board in size 9' could be something for me to use in 30-40kts of wind and 1-3,5 m waves. We need something to get out through the strong wind and white water (lying down or sitting on knees), and the longboard noses we have push to much water. The Cloud noses are better than the longboards but shorter Clouds I have used are not very fast in the takeoff. The Curves are not ideal either.
In the takeoff we need speed for the drop and Outlaws are fast. The best alternative that I can imagine would be the Zero 9 SP, or? But Zero SP is only 68cm wide which in quite tricky in strong winds. Have anyone tried these boards, except for Xavier?
I think the new 9'0 Outlaw could meet your expectation. Tail and nose are wider compare to the XTR shape for more stability on choppy water and windy days.
Cheers

This is good news!
I wonder if it is very slow to get started in the takeoff and accelerate with almost 29cm rocker? According to the pictures on the 10' 2016 there is quite a lot of nose rocker but the planing area is flatter, which makes it faster, or?

Hello,
Anyone has a (side) photo of the 10' Outlaw 2016 where the rocker amount can be perceived?
I was thinking about a use in big (not huge) conditions.
Can you explain how is the total rocker referred in the "Fiche technique" calculated?
Merci,

board flat against a ruler, near the center, the height of the nose and tail tips are added.1fox a écrit : Can you explain how is the total rocker referred in the "Fiche technique" calculated?
Note that the rocker of the outlaw is closer to a Cloud of the same size than a Curve (between the 2). So, not an extreme rocker, it should paddle quite well.

Thank you for the link!
The board in the boutique photos is the 9'0, so it's not that accurate regarding nor the 10' rocker neither rail thickness (both boards are 120lts so I'm expecting the ten footer to be more refined).
Is Xavier riding the 10' on the two first pics ( riding the wall on a left )?

Thank you for the explanation.
Although the winter brings some big waves to my local point break, where a semi gun would be very useful, this is not Nazare
In fact ,the 9' is more suited but I think it's too thick.
Having said that, the "B side" of the 10' is tempting me:
"Même si en dessous de deux bonhommes de face elles sont des cruisers sympas...". A none exaggerated rocker is in fact a plus.
