I guys,
I have the occasion to buy an old One xtr 109 (magik board) with foil insert (double us box, professional job).
The board now weight 8,5kg, maybe too much....
Do you have any suggestion? Is nice for supfoil?
And is still ok for wave surfing with is 8,5kg?
I would like to try foiling ...
Please give me hints!!!
Merci!
Giacomo

Re: One xtr with foil
Hello Giacomo,
you had a deal, the board isn't that bad as weight and definitely it will be good to start foiling with it. You can still Sup surfing too. Send me an email to [email protected] if you need more specifics advices.

Re: One xtr with foil
Just check that the boxes are properly set: that is the wing is horizontal in paddling position.
A lot of shapers just put the boxes flush with the bottom, and the boxes very far on the tail, which means that due to the board tail rocker, the foil wing points downwards, which is hell for takeoff.
Nothing serious, as you can compensate with a wedge pad between the board and the foil, but be sure to look at it before your first attempts.
