Hello,
Merci.
To put things into perspective : A 80cm Allvator Surf wing is a big wing.
Don’t think that because we’re bringing out a 90cm and 100cm Wing that suddenly the 80cm becomes small.
The 90/100cm wings are extreme, and should be reserved for very precises uses.
If you’re Kitefoiling, it’s like 21M chambered Kite. It’s sweet in 4/5kts, but in 6kts you’ll get yourself in a bad situation.
The 80cm is the 12m Kte in Kitefoiling, Big, but not to big.
I prefer to be precise because if I’m not, in six months you’ll all be asking me for 2m wings.
And finally, we really need to think about the two forms of lift : straight and when turning.
When you’re putting a wing into flight in a straight line, DW as a general rule, or when beginning, a big wing imposes itself, just like you would take a big longboard when Surfing.
Once you make a bottom, huge pressure is added to the lift when in a straight lien. A short board will be ten times easier to maintain and to handle.
Thanks
