Shipping to Italy a board and law, what you suggest?

Message par molla » ven. août 05, 2016 4:21 pm

Hello, I have ordered a board and read the gong message about the shipping. Gong tell me that I must unpack before I sign if in the order there is a board.
Frédéric Lemoine - GONGSUP

Yes, you must absolutely unpack and check the board before to sign, the carriers must wait you check, this is the law, they know that.

Best regards.
Today is arrived one order without the board (railsaver etc) so I have asked to the carriers if, when he will bring me the board, I can open before I sign. They said me that this is not posssible. Maybe in france, not in italy. I can just "sign with reservation" and then I can open.

So.. what is the truth? I think that the carriers make his job and know the italian rules, but I don't want to loose my warranty from gong and also I want a board. I hope to haven't problem with a perfect board but.. just in case..?!?!?

What you suggest? I write here so maybe also some Italian guys with experience could help me.

Regards
Gilberto M.

If you can, I recommend to go fetch the board at the depot (headquarters, warehouse, dispatch hub).

This way:
- you do not get stuck at home waiting all day
- it is faster: often you can fetch it a day before it will have been sent to you
- it reduces the risk of damage: one less handling step
- you can take all the time you want to unpack the board in place
- you have big trashcans for all the carboard and plastics
- you can take your time opening it carefully

Be sure to bring a cutter/knife, and do not forget the fins (they are in a separate enveloppe in the box)

Hello molla,

Sorry for that, everywhere in Europe and for each delivery, we ask to the carrier to call our customers for meeting before delivery.

Please, send me an email to [email protected], i need to warm Geodis about that.

Thank you.
